“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” –Psalm 46:10 (NLT)
Practically every second of your day is spent in motion. Whether working a desk job or running after toddlers, your mind is constantly in motion, moving to keep up with the crowds and stay ahead of trouble. It’s human nature to try to predict the unexpected and conquer the unconquerable. But. We. Aren’t. God. And if we try, putting our faith in ourselves, we are just setting up for failure.
Take some time today to be still. Don’t feel the pressure to do. Don’t let your mind race. Give your day over to God and let him be in control. He will work things out so much better than you had planned with your human limitations.
Taking time at the beginning of your day sets the intention of a him-first mentality.
Prayer: Dear Lord, keep my mind focused on you. Help me to make time to think about what’s really important. Amen.
