I might sound like one of those intrusive billboards that ask you if you’ve hugged your child, but how often do we really take the time to slow down our lives and spend time alone with Him? Sometimes in the business of life, we take our segments of “God time” in crowded or noisy places. We need to quiet our environments, our minds, and our hearts to hear the still, small voice of God (1 Kings 19:11-13).
Rushing through life, we might turn on the radio to get some time with God, but we must be wary if this is the only time we have to concentrate on Him.
Take some time and focus on Him. Still your heart and know that He’ll speak if you listen.
